Celebrating Small Business Saturday

This Small Business Saturday, Grameen America is celebrating small business ownership for the 58,000 women reached by our program who have been empowered to start their own small businesses and give back to their families and communities.

Guided by the belief that these small businesses are truly engines of economic growth for our country, Grameen America has invested over $340 million in low-income women entrepreneurs across eleven cities.

Supporting women-owned small businesses is especially critical this Small Business Saturday. Despite the fact that the number of women-owned businesses has grown 1.5 times the national average, these small businesses continue to lag behind in revenue share
