Nicholas Kristof highlights the plight faced by Grameen Bank and its 8.3 million borrowers. The government of Bangladesh, particularly Prime Minister Sheik Hasina, has been adamant in her stance to take over Grameen Bank. Her refusal to listen, or even speak, about the situation with journalists (Kristof was denied an interview at the last minute), has further exposed her wrongdoing. Yunus himself stated, "It's an insane situation. I just don't know how to deal with it."
